Hello, I’m Tom Hollon. Welcome to Falcon River Biomedical Communications. I specialize in communications for science and technology organizations, mostly in the life sciences. Falcon River is a one-man operation, usually, but I extend the range of my services sometimes by bringing in consultants with complementary skills.
Why hire me? Three reasons:
1. I will understand what you do and what you need. My doctoral and postdoctoral training in microbiology, molecular biology and pharmacology was at the University of Washington, the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, the Pasteur Institute, and the National Institutes of Health. If you’re in the life sciences, you can count on me to speak your language and understand your goals.
2. I can write persuasively. I’ve been writing about science since 1998, when I became founding editor of Modern Drug Discovery magazine for the American Chemical Society. As a science journalist, I have published more than 100 articles for The Scientist, Nature Medicine, Nature Biotechnology, The Lancet, and many other publications.
What this means to you is that I know how to explain what you do and what you offer without being dry and boring. Whether you need to influence investors, scientists, grant agencies, or the public, I can help you present your message so your authority in your field, your unique capabilities, and the power of your science and technology come through compellingly.
3. I cost less than you’ll pay by going to an agency. Why? Because agencies usually outsource technical writing (frequently to writers with minimal understanding of the life sciences), and then add their markups. You can buy from me, get higher quality writing, and save.
So why not give my services a try? Call me today at 301-468-9510 for a free consultation.
Thanks for visiting Falcon River. I look forward to hearing from you.
Regards,
Tom
